Display assembly
NOTE: The 12.5-in, AntiGlare, high-definition, LED, UWVA, TouchScreen display assembly is spared
as a whole unit replacement and is available using spare part number 761781-001. The display
assembly is spared at the subcomponent level only. For more display assembly spare part information,
see the individual removal subsections.
Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the service cover (see
Service cover on page 48), and then remove the following
components:
a. Battery (see
Battery on page 50)
b. Hard drive (see
Hard drive on page 52)
c. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 62)
d. Top cover (see
Top cover on page 69)
Remove the display assembly:
1. Release the display panel cable from the routing clips (1) and channel built into the
base enclosure.
