Select this option to exit the lp6dutil program. A warning message occurs if errors were

encountered during the session.

Upgrade firmware

Prerequisites:

lDOS 6.x or higher (program may not run in the DOS shell under Windows on all

systems.

lDOS diagnostic utility program installed

lFirmware image file upgrade (available from Emulex ftp server at

ftp.emulex.com/pub/fibre.

lNo memory manager programs like Expanded Memory Manager (EMM386) currently

running.

Upgrade procedure

1.Boot up computer in DOS.

2.Enter this command to start the lp6dutil program.

c:\>lp6dutil

3.Type 5 Maintenance on the Main menu.

4.Type 1 to Upgrade Firmware.

5.Enter new image file name and path to upgrade file.

6.Type 1 to upgrade now.

7.Type CR to reset the host adapter.

8.Type 0 until the Main menu reappears.

9.Type 7 to Quit.
