Embedded Root Switch in Disk & Tape Storage Systems
This application combines an embedded root switch with a disk storage system and a tape library
application to provide an integrated disk and tape library solution for the fastest backup and restores
possible.
Backups can be performed within the storage system, off the SAN. When this configuration is integrated
with the appropriate software, a complete automated storage and backup appliance can be delivered.
Figure 1-4 depicts a sample configuration.
