Important Notice:
To all installers and commissioning engineers. The EMS Smoke Detectors are supplied
with their smoke sensitivity set to the standard sensitivity setting, 2.3%. (Switches 1 Off
& 2 On). The detectors switch settings and their relevant sensitivity comparisons are
shown below:

*AVF = Accelerated Alarm Verification to prevent false alarms due to transient
smoke.
The EMS Heat Detectors are supplied with their temperature sensitivity set to medium
setting, 70 °C fixed. (Switches 1 On & 2 Off). The detectors switch setting and their
relevant sensitivity comparisons are shown below:

Please Note:
The final commissioning, system sensitivity detection settings and hand over of the
Radio Fire System to the end user is the responsibility of the fire installation
contractor.
To reassemble the detector, locate the Transmitter/Battery section into the fixed ceiling
mount (ensuring that locating lugs line up) and turn clockwise to achieve a positive
location.
Locate the detector head to the fixed module, turning clockwise to achieve a positive
location.
