GENERELLE INFO’S Der erste Schritt einer erfolgreichen Installation ist, die akustisch optimalen Einbauplätze auszuwählen. Berücksichtigen Sie für die Montage der Tiefmitteltöner die vom Hersteller des Autos vorgesehenen Einbauplätze oder besorgen Sie sich ein stabiles, fahrzeugspezifisches Doorboard von einem Drittanbieter, um die Tiefmitteltöner möglichst stabil und fest an den Vordertüren montieren zu können.
MONTAGE DER HOCHTÖNER Der Montageort der Hochtöner im Fahrzeug hat einen deutlich hörbaren Einfluss auf die Räumlichkeit und die Tonalität der Musikwiedergabe. In Abhängigkeit zur relativen Höhe des Hochtöner Montageortes ergeben sich unterschiedliche Pegel im Hochtonbereich, welche auf der Frequenzweiche durch einen Jumper angepasst werden können. Allerdings kompensiert dieser Jumper nur die Lautstärkeunterschiede, die sich durch die Montageorte ergeben und nicht die Wegstreckendifferenzen.
MONTAGE DER TIEFMITTELTÖNER Entfernen Sie die Originalabdeckungen aus Kunststoff und entfernen Sie die Originallautsprecher. In Abhängigkeit zur Fahrzeugmarke/Typ ist es manchmal erforderlich, die gesamten Türverkleidungen komplett zu demontieren, damit die Montageöffnungen für die Tiefmitteltöner zugängig werden. Sollte dies der Fall sein, empfiehlt es sich vorher beim Kfz-Fachhandel neue Befestigungsclipse aus Kunststoff für die Türverkleidungen zu besorgen.

Ein kurzer Klangvergleich der beiden Anschluss-Optionen – BEIDE Hochtöner elektrisch wie an der Weiche angeschrieben gepolt, oder BEIDE umgepolt – zeigt im Normalfall zweifelsfrei nach den ersten Takten Musik, welche Polung den besseren Klang erzielt.

TWEETER MOUNTING The tweeter mounting location inside the car exhibits a direct influence on the front staging and sound quality of the component system. Depending on the selected mounting location for your tweeters, the front staging is going to be good or poor. Note that the tweeter level can be attenuated by a jumper on the crossover’s pcb bord, enabling you to tailor the treble response for different places of tweeter mounting.
MID/WOOFER MOUNTING Remove the factory grilles of the front door and remove the factory installed full range speakers or mid/woofers. Depending on the car brand and type, it is sometimes unavoidable to remove the complete doorpanels to gain full access to the speaker openings. If this is the case, you should buy some new spare plastic clips for remounting of the door panels after your install is complete, as these clips tend to break quite easily.
Fig.: Jumperposition You should now determine the acoustically correct in-phase connection of the tweeters. This depends on several factors, for example in what loaction the tweeters have been mounted, or upon the relative distance between tweeter, mid/woofer and listener. You connect BOTH tweeter wires at the terminals of the crossovers with inverted polarity, or tweeter wires electrically in-phase. Listen for changes in the upper midrange response.
