Refer to the outline and wiring drawings provided with
your ASCO Series 300 ATS for all installation details.
A SCO Series 300 A utomatic Transfer Switches (ATSs) are
Listed under Underwriters Laboratories UL 1008 Standard
for Safety for Automatic Transfer Switches. ASCO Series
300s are also Listed under CSA C22.2 No. 178 Standard for
Automatic Transfer Switches . A l l control features are UL
Componen t Recogn ized, which assures that ASCO auto-
matic transfer switches meet OSH A Safety Requirements
and wil l be accep tab l e to electr ic al inspec tors .
A SCO Series 300 A utomatic Transfer Switches are suitable
for emergency and standby system applications. They meet
emer g enc y system rating requiremen ts as defined in Na-
tional Electrical Code (NEC) Article 700 and UL 1008.
Also, they are suitable for the requirements of NEC Article
517 He al t h Care Facilities, NEC Article 701 Legally
Required Standby Systems, NEC Article 702 Optional
Standb y System s , NFPA 99 Heal th Care Facil ities , and
NFPA 110 Emergenc y and Standby P ower Systems.
Rating Label
Eac h autom atic transfer switc h contains a rating lab el to
define the loads and fault circuit withstand / closing ratings.
Refer to the lab el on the transfer switc h for specific values .
Do not exceed the values on the rating label.
Exceeding the rating can cause personal
injury or serious equipment damage.
