2.0 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
2.1 Application Software
SiteScan Web is based on server/thin-client architecture, designed around the open standards of Web
technology. The SiteScan Web Server communicates using ASHRAE’s BACnet/IP protocol and is
accessed using a Web browser over the owner’s intranet or external through the Internet. The intent
of the thin-client architecture is to provide operators complete access to the system via a standard
Web browser. The thin-client Web browser Graphical User Interface (GUI) supports Microsoft
®
Inter-
net Explorer (version 5.5 or later). The SiteScan Web server software supports Windows 2000 and XP
platforms and support for Windows 2003 Server.
2.1.1 SSWEB - SiteScan Web Base Product
The SiteScan Web base product includes:
• Server Software
• Database
• Web Browser Graphical User Interface
• Unlimited Users
Refer to Table 1 for the minimum computer requirements for SiteScan Web server software.
2.1.2 SSWVUP - Upgrade SiteScan Web to the Latest Version of SiteScan Web
This part covers the charge to upgrade the system to the latest version of SiteScan Web. If the exist-
ing SiteScan Web is a legacy upgrade from SiteScan 2000/2W and graphic floor plans were never
upgraded, they must be upgraded. See HIGRAPHICUP (page 4) and HIGRAPHICUP-5 (page 4).
2.1.3 SSWEBUP - Upgrade From SS2000 or SS2W
The SiteScan upgrade version allows a current SS2000 or SS2W system to be upgraded to
SiteScan Web. The DC4-i422 and DC12-i422 modules will no longer be supported and must be
upgraded to the current SiteLink modules.
See Table 1 for server and client computer specifications.
