4.3 Upgrading SS2000W While Maintaining Existing Wiring
A SiteScan Web upgrade of an existing SiteScan 2000W system requires replacing each DCLan or
SiteGate-232 module with a SiteGate-E module. All graphics must be upgraded.
4.3.1 Target Application
A typical application for this upgrade might be:
• Customer wants to upgrade a SiteScan 2000W system.
• Existing system uses a DCLan.
• System has five graphics.
• CMnet has two DC12-i422 modules and three SiteLink-12 modules.
4.3.2 Description
To upgrade a SS2000W system that currently uses a DCLan, replace the DCLan with a SiteGate-E.
Next, you must upgrade the customer’s current graphics by ordering one (1) HIGRAPHICUP-5.
Lastly, both DC12-i422 modules must be replaced with SiteLink modules.

NOTE
Customers may have to replace the computer running SS2000W if it does not meet the
minimum operating requirements for SiteScan Web (see Table 1 in 2.1.1 - SSWEB -
SiteScan Web Base Product). In addition, that computer must be connected to an Ethernet
network.
