3.0 APPLICATION AND CONFIGURATION
3.1 Single-Site - SiteScan Web System Not on Customer’s Ethernet
3.1.1 Target Application
In a typical application, a customer wants to monitor just a few Liebert units from a single computer,
but does not want to put the SiteScan Web System on the company’s Ethernet backbone. The main
features are:
• Single-site system
• Graphical or non-graphical software
• Small number of Liebert units
• Few or no site-specific monitored points
3.1.2 Description
Install the SiteScan Web software as an application server. This means the server and client connec-
tions are running on the same machine. Complete the system with a basic Ethernet hub as a replace-
ment for the local Ethernet to connect the SiteScan Web Server and the SiteGate-E.
3.1.3 Sample Bill of Materials
This bill of materials includes only those products shown in the diagram. Other modules can be added
to this system as indicated in the diagram.

Qty. Mktg. P/N Description
1 SSWEB SiteScan Web Software
1 SITEGATE-E 32-bit Ethernet-ready gateway module
1 SITELINK-12 SiteScan interface module to 12 Liebert units
1 ARC156-KIT PROT485, DIAG485 and terminating resistors with enclosure
Note: The bill of materials does not include LGS startup part numbers. Most LGS startup part numbers are added
automatically when ordering.
