4.4 Asynchronous/Synchronous serial Port

connectors (J7/J8)

The interface for the asynchronous/synchronous serial ports 3 and 4 is provided by two HD-26

connectors, J7 and J8. The connector shields for these ports are tied to chassis ground.

The pin assignments and signal mnemonics for serial ports 3 and 4 are listed in the following

tables.
