Configuring Channels Into Groups
If the command CONFIG is entered, the system will ask that you identify which group you wish to modify. Another way of entering the
command is to identify the desired group in the command line by typing the group number after the characters CONFIG (ex. CONFIG
G1). Channels can be added to or deleted from a group, or the name of the group can be changed through the use of this command as
described below. This command is also described in "Commands" of the User Instructions (Section 5847). Section 5847 can be accessed
via the CD (Electronic Documentation Package) furnished with your system. This command is available to users programmed for access
to level 6 commands.
CONFIG G_
Command <6>: CONFIG G1
Type
CONFIG G1
, then press
ENTER
.
Name:
Type the desired name for this group (30 characters maximum), then
press
ENTER
.
Enter channel (e.g. A0012 or
A0001-0006) or D to display.
Add Channel:
Type the number of the system channel (or channels) that will be
added to this group, then press
ENTER
. Add all of the required channels
as just described. When there are no more channels to be added to the
current group, press
ENTER
. Channels can be specified by entering a
single channel number (e.g. A0001, B0008), or by entering a range of
channels (e.g. A0001-0008, L0001-0012). To exit, press
ENTER
without
specifying a channel.
Note:
Type "D" to display a complete list of channels in this group.

Del Channel:
Type the number of the system channel (or channels) that will be
deleted from this group, then press
ENTER
. Delete all of the required
channels as just described. When there are no more channels to be
deleted from the current group, press
ENTER
. Channels can be
specified by entering a single channel number (e.g. A0001, B0008), or
by entering a range of channels (e.g. A0001-0008, L0001-0012). To
exit, press
ENTER
without specifying a channel.
