Changing System Alarm Reporting or Individual User Reports
Parameters of individual User Reports and/or System Alarm Reporting were determined using the command SET SYSTEM. System Alarm
Reporting parameters can be changed as described below. Refer to the command SET USERS in this section if it is desired to change
individual User Reporting parameters. Both types of alarm reporting (System Alarm Reporting and individual User Reports) also required
certain User parameters to be determined. These include primary phone number, valid times for primary phone number, alternate
phone number, primary Email, alternate Email, report device, and report mode. These parameters can also be changed through the
command SET USERS. If the reporting mode of any user configuration is set for pager, enter the unit pager code through the command
SET UNIT. Each user can be configured individually to be notified of an alarm report through a pager. If the reporting mode is Email, set
Email parameters via the SET EMAIL command. Also set IP parameters via the IP ADDRESS, IP NETMASK, and IP GATEWAY commands.
The channels that are reported as part of a System Alarm Report are set by configuring the appropriate channels for this feature.
System Alarm Reporting: The System Alarm Reporting parameters can be changed by using the commands SET SYSTEM and SET
REPORT. The command SET SYSTEM was described earlier in this section. Both commands, when entered, will display a header that
contains the current configuration. Then, individually, the commands will list each item that can be changed, prompting for new or
revised information to be entered. If the current information does not need to be changed, press
ENTER
to continue.
Command SET REPORT: The various System Alarm Reporting parameters that can be changed through this command are described
below. This command is available to users programmed for access to level 6 commands.
SET REPORT
Command <6>: SET REPORT
Type
SET REPORT
, then press
ENTER
.
System Alarm Report Mode:
Type
Single
or
Continuous
if the system is required to initiate an alarm
report if any channel alarms and
Off
if not, then press the
ENTER
key.
Note:
Single=System Alarm Report is considered successful if the system connects
with a modem or sends an Email. (Alarm report transmitted once.)
Continuous=System Alarm Report is considered successful if the user issues
an ACKnowledgement. (The system continues to issue the report at an
interval determined by the "retry time" until the ACK command is entered
by the user.)
User Calling Sequence:
Type the numbers (1-8), which correspond to individual users, in the
required calling or Emailing sequence, then press the
ENTER
key. The
user calling or Emailing sequence lists the users in the order in which
the system will attempt to call or Email to communicate an alarm
report. Once the system notifies a user, the sequence is reset to the
first user, ready for the next alarm report.
Note:
A maximum of 20 digits can be entered.
Retry Time:
Type the required retry time (0-1440 minutes, with zero representing
no report retry), then press the
ENTER
key. The retry time is the time
interval between the calling or Emailing of the last person designated
in the user calling sequence list and the recalling or Emailing of the first
user in the sequence in the event of an unsuccessful attempt to report
an alarm condition.
Auto-Logoff Time (seconds):
Type the required auto-logoff time (30 to 600 seconds), then press the
ENTER
key. If a user is remotely communicating with the system, and
the system needs to issue an alarm report to a remote terminal, the
system issues a priority message to the user, and automatically logs
the user off. The auto-logoff time period is the interval the system
waits with the pending report before issuing the priority message, and
logging the user off.
