58 Operating Instructions for the Touch Screen Interface
10.0 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TOUCH SCREEN INTERFACE
After the initial equipment start-up, the following operating guidelines can be used for standard
equipment operation. These guidelines should be reviewed for any special equipment modifications,
special site conditions, or company policies that may require changes to the standard equipment
operation.
All programmable functions are preset at the factory to enable the unit to be brought up without
the need to enter all selectable parameters.
This section refers to the LCD touch screen display. This display is discussed in more detail later in
the manual. See 13.0 - STS2 Touch Screen Display on page 79.
See Figure 14 on page 32 to Figure 19 on page 37 for circuit breaker locations.
10.1 Normal System Turn-On
1. Ensure that all STS2 breakers—CB1, CB2, CB3, CB3A (if supplied), CB4, and CB5—are in the
OFF position.
a. Ensure that the key interlocks for CB1 and CB2 have their bolts retracted.
b. Ensure that the key interlocks for CB4 and CB5 have their bolts extended, thus preventing
CB4 or CB5 from being turned ON.
2. Source/input power should be applied to both STS2 inputs.
The touch screen control panel should become active and operate properly when at least one of
the inputs is energized is closed.
3. Verify that nominal input voltages are applied to both inputs (Source 1 and Source 2).
The input voltages, selected preferred source, breaker and switch status, and alarms are indi-
cated on the Mimic screen.
!
CAUTION
Before unit is placed into service for the first time, after
equipment relocation, or after the equipment has been de-
energized for an extended period of time, a thorough equipment
inspection and supervised start-up by qualified personnel are
strongly recommended. Contact your local Liebert representative
or Liebert Global Services at 1-800-543-2378 to arrange for
equipment inspection and start-up.
NOTE
If the front panel of your STS2 is comprised of LEDs and push buttons
instead of the touch screen interface, refer to 14.0 - Operating the LED
Display STS2 on page 99 for operating instructions.
NOTE
If your STS2 is connected to a PDU with a Wye configuration, enable the
Wye Output Transformer before starting the system. This setting can be
made from the touch screen. Refer to Wye Output Transformer on
page 94 for instructions.
