8.0 MAINTENANCE
NOTICE
Risk of leaking chilled water and drain lines. Can cause equipment and building damage.
Lines and joints must be inspected regularly. Improper installation, application and service
practices can result in water leakage from the unit. Water leakage can result in severe
property damage and loss of critical data center equipment. Do not locate unit directly above
any equipment that could sustain water damage. Emerson
®
recommends installing monitored
leak detection equipment for the unit and its factory- and field-installed supply, return and
drain lines.
The Liebert DCP system components require little maintenance when proper fluid levels are
maintained and proper startup and operation procedures are followed. The following task should be
performed at the intervals stated:
• Clean or replace chilled water strainer annually. Adjust accordingly based on purity of chilled
water.
