3.0 PIPING
3.1 Connection Sizes
The copper pipe connections on the Liebert DCP are:
3.1.1 Recommended Pipe Size
Connect the main pipes between the Liebert DCP and the Liebert DCD
™
/Liebert XDK-W
™
according
to site-specific documentation and the configuration guide for the Liebert DCD/Liebert XDK-W unit.
Elbows and restrictions should be minimized to get good fluid flow.
3.2 Air Bleeders
Install air bleeders at each high point in the piping circuits.
3.3 Liebert DCP Interconnection with Cooling Modules
All piping must be ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) Type ACR copper pipe.
The Liebert DCP may be connected to Liebert DCD or Liebert XDK-W cooling modules with either
prefabricated piping assembly or rigid, off-the-shelf piping. The cooling modules are connected in
parallel between main return and supply pipes going to and from the Liebert DCP.
