This supplement provides INMETRO Hazardous Area Approval information for the i2P-100 electro‐pneumatic
transducer instruction manual. Use this in conjunction with information provided in the instruction manual
(D103198X012).
INMETRO—National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology. INMETRO approval is accepted in Brazil.
Certain nameplates may carry more than one approval, and each approval may have unique installation/wiring
requirements and/or conditions of “safe use”. These special instructions for “safe use” are in addition to, and may
override, the standard installation procedures. Refer to the instruction manual for all other information regarding
i2P-100 electro‐pneumatic transducers.
Note
This information supplements the nameplate markings affixed to the product.
Always refer to the nameplate itself to identify the appropriate certification.

Conditions of Safe Use (X):
 For applications of intrinsically safe version in Zone 0 (EPL Ga), considering that the equipment enclosure is
aluminum, precautions must be taken to prevent ignitions caused by impact or friction.
