Checkin_ the recordin_ picture quality
You can confirm the recording pic-
ture quality with the recording
speed you have selected before
attempting to record to a DVD disc.

While the unit is in STOP or
REC with a DVD disc to
record inserted, press REC
MONITOR button.
The TV program will be on the
screen in the recording picture
quality with the recording speed
you have selected.

If you want to change the
recording speed, press REC
SPEED button repeatedly.
The recording speed will be
changed as you press the button
as shown. Refer to "Recording
speed" on page 26.
• You cannot change the record-
ing speed during recording.
