A regular preventive maintenance program from Emerson
Network Power is the best way to ensure maximum reliability of
data center equipment. Systematic inspection, detection and
correction of incipient failures keep infrastructure issues from
turning into costly downtime.
One study has shown that for a three-phase UPS system
(≥ 100 kVA), the Mean Time Between Failures for those units that
received two preventive maintenance visits a year is 23 times
higher than a system with no preventive service events in a year.
Our power preventive maintenance includes the following:
Repairing and reporting of all high temperature areas that may
affect component and unit performance.
Complete visual inspection of the equipment including
subassemblies, wire harnesses, contacts, cables, major
components and air filters.
Checking of inverter and rectifier boards, and checking all
mechanical connections for heat discoloration and tightness.
Replacement of swelled and leaking power capacitors and DC
capacitors with extruded vent caps.
