EDIDinformationcanthenbepushedouttoanyavailabletransmitter.Ifthetransmitterandreceiverarerunning
thesameresolution,establishingavideoconnectionwillbefasterbecausethereceiverwillnothavetochange
resolutionandthemonitorwillnothavetoresynchronizewiththeresolutionchange.
Thenameoftheperipheralsandthedescriptioncanbechangedbyselectingthemonitorandeditingthe
Attributestab.ThemanufacturerIDandproductcodearereadonlyfields.
TheMonitorslistispre-populatedwithtworead-onlyentries:theAvocentDefaultVGAEDIDandAvocent
DefaultDVIEDID.Thesearethefactorydefaultmonitorattributes(EDIDs)thatarepresentedtoanattached
targetbytheVGAandDVItransmitters,respectively.Theseentriesprovideawaytogetbacktothedefault
EDIDifyoupushadifferentEDIDtoatransmitter.
Topullmonitorattributes:
1. OnthesidebarunderPullMonitor,clickPull.
2. SelectareceiverfromthelistandclickPull.ThemonitorwillbeaddedtothelistinthePeripheralspane.
Topushthemonitorattributes:
1. OnthesidebarunderPushMonitor,clickPush.
2. SelectoneormoretransmittersfromthelistandclickPush.Themonitorattributeswillbepushedtothe
selectedtransmitter(s).
Todeleteamonitor:
1. SelectoneormoremonitorsfromthePeripheralspane.
2. OnthesidebarunderDeleteMonitor,clickDelete.
3. ClickDelete toconfirm.
SystemSettingsTab
TheSystemSettingstabiswheretheOBWIsettingsanddefaultsettingsareconfigured.Allofthesettingsfora
systemcanbesavedorreloadedfromthesystemsettingstab.
Savesettingstofile
Thesavesettingstofileoptionallowsyoutostorethesystemsettingsasabackup.Thesettingscanbereloaded
latertorestorethesystembacktoapreviousstate.
Tosavethesystemsettings:
1. OnthesidebarunderSaveSettingstoFile,clickSave.
2. Enterapasswordifyouwishtoencryptthefile.Becausethesettingsfileincludespotentiallysensitiveuser
authenticationinformation,itishighlyrecommendedthatyouprovideasecurepasswordtobeusedto
encryptthefile.
3. ClickNext.
4. Clickthelinkinthedialogboxtodownloadthefile.
