Whenaswitchissettoslavemode,theOBWIontheswitchwillbecomeverylimited.Aslavecannot
administerotherdevices.
Tochangethemode:
1. Selectaswitchfromthelistofdevices.
NOTE:You can only change the mode of the switch you are logged in to.
2. OntheModetab,selectthedesiredcascadeparticipationfromthedrop-downlist.
3. ClickSave.

TheAttributestaballowsyoutochangethename,locationanddescriptionoftheswitch.Thenameofeach
switchmustbeuniquewithinacascadedsystem.
Switch–IPv4andIPv6tab
TheIPv4andIPv6tabsallowyoutochoosetheconfigurationmethodusedfortheswitch,theIPaddress,the
subnetmask,thegatewayaddressandDNS.
Switch–NTPtab
OntheNTPtabyoucanconfigureaprimaryandsecondarytimeserverthatwillbeusedtosynchronizethetime
ofdayclockontheswitch.Thetimeofdayisusedwheneventsarelogged.
Switch–Statustab
TheStatustabfortheswitchshowsbasic,read-onlyinformationabouttheselectedswitch.
Switch–Portstab
ThePortstabfortheswitchlistsallofthedevicesconnectedtotheswitchports.Itliststheportnumber,the
devicetype,thedeviceEIDandthestatusforeachofthedevicesconnected.

WhenintheDevicestab,ifyouselectareceiver,youwillseealistoftabsapplicableonlytoreceivers.
