How do I install the ATS?
1. Mounting
Refer to the enclosure outline draw i n g . Mount the AT S according to details and instructions shown on t h is
d iag ram . Mount the ATS ver tic a ll y to a rigid s upporting structure. Level all mount i n g points by using flat
wa s h e r s behind the holes to avoid distortion of the en closure .

MALFUNCTI ON or SHORTENED LIFE
Protect the ATS from construction grit and metal c h i p s to
prevent mal f u nct i on or shortened li f e.
Transfer switches rated 260 and 400 amperes are mounted on an i n s u l ato r backing piece (installed b e h i nd
the transfer switch). If the transfer switch is remo v ed from the en cl o s ure and then reinst all e d , this
ins u l ator must be placed behind the transfer sw i t c h . . See Figure l.

FLASH HAZARD- DAMAGE
Be sure that the insulator piece is i nstalled behind the 260
and 400 ampere transfer switches.
