Wireless field devices should also be powered up in order of proximity from the Smart Wireless Gateway beginning with the closest. This will result in a simpler and faster network installation.

Initial connection and configuration To configure the Smart Wireless Gateway, a local connection between a PC/laptop and the Gateway needs to be established.

Figure 2 shows the terminal block arrangement of a PoE version of the Gateway. If the Gateway will be powered via the standard 24 volt power input terminals, and no PSE is desired, it is not necessary to change the default settings of the PoE jumper matrix.
