OPERATING
HEATER
FOR YOUR SAFETY
READ BEFORE LIGHTING
WARNING: If you do not follow

This
appliance
has
a
pilot
which
must
be

Do not try to light any appliance.
Do not touch any electric switch; do not

If you cannot re a ch you r gas supplie r, call
the fire department.

ga s control knob. Ne ver use tools .
If the
knob will not push in or turn by hand, don’t
try to repair it, call
a qualified
service techn-
ician or sag supplier. Force or attempted
repair may result in a fire o r explosion.

appliance and to replace any part of th

LIGHTING
INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
If
operate this heater with glass doors
closed. If you operate heater with
doors closed, heat buildup inside
fireplace will cause glass to burst.
Make sure there are no obstructions
across openings of fireplace.
You must operate this heater with
sure fireplace screen is closed
before running heater.
NOTICE: During initial operationof new
heater, burning logs will give off a
paper-burning smell. Orange flame will
also be present. Open damper or win-
dow to vent smell. This will only last a
few hours.
Note:
heater with the chimney damper closed.
This will
put all the heat intothe room. However, there may be

or partially to release some of the heat.
