8) Edit the application’s configuration file (C:\ProgramData\PariRange\server.cfg) using

Notepad or a similar text editor.

a. Line 5 – Remove the # symbol from in front of “serial_device=” and then add the

COM port noted in Device Manager after the = symbol.

i. Example using serial port COM4:

b. Line 8 – Only change this line if you are using a network port other than the

default port of 1618. If you are using a different port, remove the # symbol from

in front of “tcp_port=1618” and change 1618 to the network port you want to use.

administrators. If changed, the new network port will need to be known

when configuring the User Interface application.

c. Save and close the file.
