Expected Life
Both the PariRange Contact Tracing Tag and PariRange Contact Tracing Reader have a long-
life expectancy. However, the rechargeable lithium-ion battery within the Tag is expected to
perform like new for approximately 500 charging cycles, after which a significant change in
battery life may be observed over time.
Packaging
Both the PariRange Contact Tracing Tag and PariRange Contact Tracing Reader are shipped in
bulk packaging and are individually wrapped in protective plastic. Packaging materials can be
disposed of and/or recycled based on your local municipality’s guidelines.
Storage
Both the PariRange Contact Tracing Tag and PariRange Contact Tracing Reader must be
stored in an environment free of extreme wind and dust and within both temperature and
humidity specifications. When assigned to a user, a Tag should be stored on a charger. When
unassigned to a user, a Tag should first be fully charged and then stored off of a charger in the
low power state Sleep Mode.
Safe Disposal
Safe disposal of the PariRange Contact Tracing Tag and PariRange Contact Tracing Reader
should follow the guidelines of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA).
Ensure all user data has been downloaded and cleared from the Tag prior to disposal. To find a
nearby recycling facility near you, visit the EPA’s Electronics Donation and Recycling website.
