Novoescocia® 4 aluminum is a prole made by extrusion of aluminum. Matt silver nish has been
anodized, improving through this process their corrosion resistance, mechanical resistance and
appearance. It has the quality seal Qualanod, which guarantees the quality of the process and the
resulting proles. This seal regulates several tests: appearance and color, thickness measurements,
sealing and impregnation control, abrasion resistance, lightfastness, acetic saline chamber and nitric
acid immersion.
The lacquered nishes obtain a high quality and homogeneus surface. The lacquering has the quality
seal Qualicoat, which guarantees the quality of the process and the nal products.
The complementary pieces of Novoescocia® 4 aluminum are made of Zamak. The zamak is a non
ferrous alloy of zinc with aluminium, magnesium and copper (UNE EN 1774). It is tough, has high
hardness, high mechanical strength and excellent plastic deformability.

Novoescocia® 4 has a specic antibacterial coating (only white color) which protects the initial
properties of materials and objects where it’s applied through the control of microbial deterioration.
Novoescocia® 4 prevents, on the surface of its prole, the growth and migration of bacteria, fungi,
yeasts and molds, interfering with the gas permeability of the membrane (cellular breathing). In this way,
microorganism lose quickly its ability to grow and reproduce, producing its destruction. The probability
that microorganisms develope resistance to treatment is very low.
Novoescocia® 4 is effective against a large number of bacteria among which are: Legionella
neumophilia,Escherichia Coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcos Aureus (SARM), Listeria Monocytogenes,
Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Streptococcus Faecalis, Vibrio Parahaemolyticus y Enterobacter Aerogenes.
