When the appliance is set at 100°C (Boil), the KEEP WARM function cannot be chosen.
1. When the appliance is set at 100°C (Boil), the KEEP WARM button is disabled.
2. If 100°C has already been selected in standby mode, the KEEP WARM function can
be started by pressing KEEP WARM and resetting the temperature to 85°C at the
same time.
3. If the KEEP WARM function is operating in standby mode you can turn it off by
pressing 100°C (Boil).
While the appliance is working: You can press the temperature buttons to set the
temperature; You can press the “KEEP WARM” button to start or stop the KEEP WARM
function; You can press the “START/STOP” button to start or turn off the appliance.
If the KEEP WARM function is set, and it will keep warm for 2 hours. The appliance will
then turn off and enter standby mode automatically.
The light around the base will come on during heating, and it will turn off after heating.
3. Boil-dry protection with auto safety shut off
If there is no water in kettle, the appliance will enter self-protection mode.
4. Product alarm
1. If pressing the buttons does not have any effect, the indicator lights are turned off,
or the kettle gives two audible alarms when it is plugged in, this means that the
kettle has poor contact with the base. If you place the kettle correctly on the base,
everything will return to normal again after plugging in.
2. If the kettle beeps continuously and all the indicator lights flicker it means that
the kettle has boiled dry and overheated. If this happens, unplug the kettle
immediately and fill with cold water to cool it down.
3. If the indicator lights flicker continuously, there is no audible alarm and none of the
buttons work, this means there is a problem with the temperature sensor. Unplug
the kettle and plug it back in again. If the problem persists, stop using the kettle
and return it to the retailer for repair.
5. WARNING Electric Shock Hazard.
Do not immerse the kettle, power base, or plug in water or any other liquid.
1. With the kettle unplugged, empty any remaining water and rinse. Allow the kettle to
cool. The mesh filter may be removed by pulling up on the filter tab which is visible
through the kettle opening. To replace the filter, line it up with the tab on the inside
of the kettle and slide down until it snaps into place.
2. To avoid the build-up of scale or lime deposits, empty the kettle after each use. To
remove discolouration or scale/lime deposits from the heating element: Place 1/2
teaspoon (2.5 ml) cream of tartar (available in the spice aisle of grocery store) into
the kettle. Then fill the kettle 1/2 full with water. Plug in the kettle, press the START/
STOP button, and bring to the boil. Press the STOP button. Unplug and allow to
cool. Rinse several times with clean tap water.
3. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive scouring pads
or powders since they may scratch the smooth surface of the kettle.
