SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION AE/LZB 119 1897 R1A

4. Copy this master STATUS.INI file to all consoles in the system which require status operations. Refer to Table 3-1
in this manual for the file path.
5. At each console which has the UDS Configurator program installed, add RSM and/or RTT modules to required
module pages (edit the console’s active screen initialization file). Refer to the UDS Configurator User’s Manual
(AE/LZB 119 1896) for details.
If the UDS Configurator is not available at a console but status operations are required, carefully construct a screen
initialization file for it at another console/computer in the system which does have the UDS Configurator and the
master STATUS.INI file, preferably the master console. Observe all usage recommendations and cautions
regarding moving/copying screen initialization files between consoles presented in the UDS Configurator User’s
Manual. Copy this file to the console not equipped with the UDS Configurator as SCRCFG.INI. Refer to Table 3-1
in this manual for the file path.
When adding an RSM module with the UDS Configurator, only those status codes/messages set for RSM use by the
Configuration Editor’s Radio Status dialog box will be available for selection. Likewise, when adding an RTT
module, only those status codes/messages set for RTT use by the Configuration Editor’s Radio Status dialog box
will be available for selection.
6. At each console which requires status operations, run the Configuration Editor and from its Radio Status dialog
box, enable or disable the Route All RSM/RTT Msgs setting as required; refer to section 6.2.2.10 (page 48) for
additional information.
7. At each console which requires RSM and/or RTT, add the respective feature licensed option(s). Skip this step if the
options were added at the factory. If not added at this point or previously at the factory, they may be added at any
point in the future by obtaining an updated encrypted license file. Refer to section 6.2.7 in this manual (page 57) for
additional information.
To verify the proper installation of feature licensed options at a console, start-up the console application and access
the About Maestro dialog box. This dialog box indicates which feature licensed options are available per the
encrypted license file.
8. Verify correct RSM operation at each console as follows:
Start-up the console application and switch to a module page which has an RSM module with a known
status code.
Using a radio which has this same status code programmed, select and login to a trunked group which is
also programmed at the console. A radio PTT is required if the radio is not programmed for automatic
group login. This login step may be skipped if route all RSM/RTT messages is enabled.
From the radio, select the corresponding status and transmit it. Observe the radio’s alias/name (or logic ID)
and a time-stamp indication appear in the RSM module. A status message should also appear in the
console’s message panel.
9. Verify correct RTT operation at each console as follows:
Start-up the console application and switch to a module page which has an RTT module with a known status
code.
Observe the radio’s alias/name (or logic ID)
appears in the RTT module. A status message should also appear in the console’s message panel.
Press/click the RTT module’s <Reply> button, to reply to the radio via an individual call.
