6.2.2.11.5 Finding An Entity Record
An entity record may be quickly located via the Entity Database dialog box’s <Find> button. To use this feature,
simply enter a text string within the text box next to the button and then click the button. The program will search the listed
entity records and, if present, a record with a matching text string will automatically select. This feature may be used in place
of the manual selection methods described in the previous sections.
6.2.2.12 Import Data Dialog Box
The Configuration Editor’s Import Data dialog box, shown selected in the following figure, provides data file import
(conversion) functions from earlier DOS-based C3 Maestro console data file formats to the data file formats required by the
C3 Maestro console for Windows NT. In some cases, these imports may be desired over constructing new databases using
standard download/transfer and module programming methods. Table 6-3 which follows summarizes source (DOS) and
destination (Windows NT) file import methodology.

NOTE
Use the Import Data dialog box only when upgrading from a previous DOS-based console to the Windows NT-
based console when standard download/transfer and module programming methods are not desired. Also, the import
procedure should only be accomplished after the installation of the C3 Maestro console for Windows NT software.
