SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION AE/LZB 119 1897 R1A

the UDS Configurator program is started for RSM/RTT module additions. To define status codes, perform the following
procedure:
1. If desired, exit the Configuration Editor and back-up the existing STATUS.INI file by copying it to a different
directory and/or disk, or by copying it to the same disk and directory with a different file name (for example:
STATUS.BAK). Next, re-start the Configuration Editor and select the Radio Status dialog box.
2. Using the dialog box’s Msg # scroll bar, select the status code’s number. The text box above the scroll bar is a read-
only text box. Status code range is 0 — 127.
3. Set the status code for either RSM or RTT use by clicking the respective option button.
4. Click in the Msg Text text box and enter the status code’s message text via the PC keyboard.
5. As necessary, repeat steps 2 thru 4 for other status codes.
6. Click the <Save> command button to save the newly defined (or redefined) status codes to STATUS.INI.
Printing out of the STATUS.INI file may be beneficial for future reference during, for example, radio personality
programming operations. To print the file, open it up with any text editor which has a print function and perform a print
function within the editor.
6.2.2.10.2 Route All RSM/RTT Messages Enable/Disable
If Route All RSM/RTT Msgs is checked (enabled), the Dispatch Manager will route status messages from all radio units
to the GUI (or CAD interface), regardless of each unit’s group log-in.
If this check box is cleared (disabled), the Dispatch Manager will not route unprogrammed group log-in status messages
to the GUI (or CAD interface). In other words, if a radio unit transmits status but it is logged into a group which is not
programmed into a standard communication module at the console, the radio unit’s status message will not be received by the
GUI (or CAD interface); therefore, the unit’s status will not be displayed at the console, even though an RSM/RTT module is
programmed with the radio unit-transmitted status code. In addition, the radio unit’s LID (logical ID) must be privileged at
the console or the console must be designated a supervisory console by the CEC/IMC Manager before any status messages
will be routed.
