6.2.2.3 Dispatch Manager Dialog Box
The Dispatch Manager dialog box, shown selected in the following figure, provides configuration functions for many
settings which directly affect how the Dispatch Manager program (CONSOLE.EXE) controls the other items. For example,
from this dialog box the user may enable/disable several console application start-up options which the Dispatch Manager
controls. Each setting is described in the following subsections. As required, save any changes made by clicking the <Save>
command button.

6.2.2.3.1 Dispatch Manager Starts User Interface (UI)
For automatic console user interface program start-up (normally, GUI.EXE) when the Dispatch Manager is started, check
the Start UI check box. If automatic console UI start-up is not desired, clear this check box. See section 6.2.3 in this manual
(page 53) for detailed console application start-up configuration information.
6.2.2.3.2 API Message Logging Enable/Disable At Console Start-Up
If Dispatch Manager-to-GUI API message logging is required at console start-up, check the API Message Log check
box. Otherwise, clear the check box. Refer to Table 3-1 in this manual for the log file’s file name and path.
As with any new setting accomplished via the Configuration Editor, the console application must be re-started before the
new setting will come into effect. The setting is stored in MAESTRO.INI.
When the console application is running API message logging may be enabled and disabled via menu selection within the
Dispatch Manager. This selection is not stored in MAESTRO.INI, as the initialization file stores start-up configurations only.
