not in the console’s program group
since MCOMM.EXE should never
be executed alone.
Communications Interface executable
program—provides data support to the
Dispatch Manager program for the PC-to-CIM
serial data link and, non-inclusively, for either
the PC-to-Enhanced Audio Enclosure serial
data link or PC-to-Console Logic Board
messages. The Dispatch Manager
(CONSOLE.EXE) always automatically starts
this program. Data monitoring is provided by
displaying receive and transmit data in a
hexadecimal format. Data may also be logged
to the hard disk drive for
diagnostic/troubleshooting purposes.

an off-line program used to configure many
customer-specific settings such as hardware-
related settings, RSM/RTT status codes,
paging button text labels & tones, and, for the
Communications Interface program
(MCOMM.EXE), the default start-up display
configuration.
