1.1. Warnings
• Toavoidelectricarcingandhazardstopersonnelandelectricalcontacts,never
connect/disconnecttheservodrivewhilethepowersourceison.
• Powercablescancarryahighvoltage,evenwhenthemotorisnotinmotion.Disconnect
theCymbalfromallvoltagesourcesbeforeitisopenedforservicing.
• TheCymbalservodrivescontaingroundingconduitsforelectriccurrentprotection.Any
disruptiontotheseconduitsmaycausetheinstrumenttobecomehot(live)anddangerous.
• Aftershuttingoffthepow erandremovingthepowersourcefromyourequipment,wait at
least1minutebeforetouchingordisconnectingpartsoftheequipmentthatarenormally
loadedwithelectricalcharges(suchascapacitorsorcontacts).Measuringtheelectrical
contactpointswithameter,beforetouchingtheequipment,isrecommended.
1.2. Cautions
• TheCymbalservodrivescontainhotsurfacesandelectrically‐chargedcomponentsduring
operation.
• ThemaximumDCpowersupplyconnectedtotheinstrumentmustcomplywiththe
parametersoutlinedinthisguide.
• WhenconnectingtheCymbaltoanapproved12to95VDCauxiliarypowersupply,connect
itthroughalinethatisseparatedfromhazardouslivevoltagesusingreinforcedordouble
insulationinaccordancewithapprovedsafetystandards.
• BeforeswitchingontheCymbal,verifythatallsafetyprecautionshavebeenobservedand
thattheinstallationproceduresinthismanualhavebeenfollowed.
