PASSWORDS
Versa XS passwords can range in length from 1 to 10
characters or numbers (alphanumeric).
When Versa XS prompts you for a password, you must
enter it to start the application. If you don’t know your
password or it doesn’t work, check with your system
administrator (or the person who assigned it).
NOTE: The Versa XS password should not be confused
with the Unit password. The Versa XS password is used to
grant or deny access to the software. The Unit password is
used to access the EL25 unit for programming. For more
information on setting the Unit password, see Unit
Configuration page 8.
To Set a Versa XS Password:
1. From the menu bar, select Tools >> Password OR from the tool bar click the Password icon.
2. The Set Password screen will appear. At the Set Password screen, enable the “Required” check box.
3. Enter the password into the “Password” and “Verify Password” text boxes.
4. Click OK to save changes.
To Remove the Versa XS Password:
1. At the Set Password screen, disable the “Required” check box.
2. Click OK to save changes.
NOTES:
• For security, entries are displayed as asterisks (*) instead of letters.
• ONLY alpha characters and numbers may be used.
• The password is case sensitive.
• After three unsuccessful password attempts, Versa XS will quit.
EXITING VERSA XS
To exit Versa XS select File >> Exit from the main menu or click the EXIT icon from the tool bar. Versa XS will prompt
you to ensure you wish to exit Versa XS. Click YES to exit.
