Elinchrom produced focusable fl ash heads back in the 60’s.
It was time to look again at this useful feature but using today’s
technology.
This head o ers a microprocessor controlled, low noise fan
cooling system, a new included transparent glass dome,
a new user replaceable plug-in fl ashtube and a zoom function
for the modelling lamp and fl ashtube, to obtain unique results
when used with refl ectors or a wide and even light distribution
with Rotalux softboxes. The zoom function is accessible from
both sides of the head housing. These heads are compatible
with all power packs made by Elinchrom since 1979.
ZOOM HEADS
– Small UV coated fl ashtube
diameters for short fl ash
durations and better subject
control.
– User replaceable plug-in
fl ashtube.
– Included transparent security
glass dome. An optional frosted
glass dome is available.
– Zoom Heads can either be used
with 110 V or 230 V Elinchrom
power packs. The Halogen
modelling lamp and fuse must
conform to the correct voltage
and value.
– E cient inner dish refl ector,
with a 90° light distribution to
maximise softbox performance.
– Zoom function for fl ashtube and
modelling lamp for individual
wider or more focused light
beam when used with
refl ectors.
– Refl ector-bayonet with breech
locking ring, fi ts all Elinchrom
refl ectors since 1974. So do the
huge EL-Refl ector and Rotalux
softbox range.

lamp switch, with LED overheat

warning LED lights up the
halogen modelling lamp shuts
o until the head cools down.

resistant housing.

kg, including the 5 m heavy-
duty fl ash cable.

The ZOOM PRO is designed for universal use photo-
graphy and is equipped with a standard 3000 Ws
omega plug-in flashtube. All other features and
functions are the same for all ZOOM head types.

Zoom Action

The ZOOM ACTION offers a very short flash
duration for action freezing photography. The
new A (Action) tube delivers a 40-45% shorter
flash duration compared to standard omega
(horseshoe type) flashtubes. Action = Elinchrom.
