spring should come
out on top.

Quick Test: Turning one side
wheel by hand should turn the
other and move the lever arm up
and down. Do this for several
rotations of the wheels to be sure
the unit is working properly.
NOTE: Wrap
the spring
around the pulley
and clip it on
the tab.
NOTE: The teeth
on the transfer gear
should interlock with
those on the small
motor gear.

You have now completed the assembly of the AK-920 Electronic
Stapler Kit. Refer to HOW TO USE IT on the other side. If the
stapler does not work, refer to TROUBLESHOOTING .

Inspect the mainframe, making sure that all of the wires are intact. Carefully remove the
rubber bands and check that the wires on the inside of the mainframe are not broken.
Fasten one or two of the 10mm screws used in Step 6 to hold the mainframe together until
you reach Step 6.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THE WIRES TO THE CIRCUIT BOARD, MOTOR, OR
SWITCHES THROUGHOUT THE ASSEMBLY!!
NOTE: Be
very careful not
to break the wires
connecting the
motor to the
PC board.

inside of the main-
frame to secure the
screws. Repace the
nuts if they have
come loose.
NOTE: The
small gear
should not be
tight against
side.

holes for the 16mm
screws in the sides allow
the sides to slide 1/8” if the
screws are loose. This makes
the assembly easier. Be sure
that the sides are as close
together as possible (and
the motor tight in its slot)
when you tighten the
screws.

down after

locked into place.

Turn this knob if it blocks
the Switch Snap-in.
Note:
DO NOT
snap the Clear
Case into place until you have
tested the unit, since it will be
dif
ficult to remove. Refer to
HOW TO USE IT on the other
side. If the stapler does not work,
refer to TROUBLESHOOTING .
And be sure there is at least 1/2
inch of open space in the staple
tray after you add staples.
