holding the [TRIG] key of the trig you want to micro edit, then press either the left or right
[ARROW] button.
TRIG COUNT sets the nu mber of times the sample trig sho uld be re peated. Ad just this set-
ting with the up and down [ARROW] keys.
TRIG OFFSET controls where the trig should be pl aced on the 1/384 step re solution m icro
timing grid. Move th e trig on the gri d by pressing the lef t and righ t [ARROW] buttons. A trig
can be nudged both forwards and backwards in time in relation to the step it is placed on.
If a trig placed on the first sequencer step is nudged backwards, it will be acti-
vated at the end of the pattern.
Setting the tempo to 2x in the SCALE SETUP menu will double the resolution of
the micro timing grid.
Micro timed trigs can be quantized in the TRACK TRIG EDIT menu. Read more on
page 87.
SCALE SETUP
Here the gene ral length and timing of a p att ern is set. Access the SCAL E SETUP menu b y
pressing [FUNCTION] + [PATTERN PAGE]. This menu will look different depending on
whether NORMAL or PER TRACK is active. These settings are made in the PATTERN
SETTINGS menu. Read more on page 89. Use the [LEFT] and [RIGHT] arrow keys to
select betwee n th e ava ila ble setting s. The [UP] and [DOWN] arrow keys or the LEVEL
knob adjust the settings.
NORMAL
This is the default mode. In this mode all tracks of th e pattern hav e the same length and
time signature. This screen will appear when the NORMAL setting, foun d in the PATTERN
SETTINGS menu, is active for all tracks.
PATTERN SCALE sets the number of steps in a pattern and thus the total amount of pat-
tern p ages. T he leftmost nu mbe r se lects the number of steps in the pattern. The maximum
number of steps availabl e to the pattern is determined by the total length, set by the right-
most parameter . This can be either 16, 32, 48 or 64 steps. If 17 steps or more are used in a
