10.12.4 FILL MODE
FILL mode can be used to create a temporary variation, such as a drum fill, in your pattern.
Press [FUNC] + [FILL] to cue FILL mode for one pattern cycle. It will become active when the pattern
loops, and remain active until it loops again. You can also activate FILL mode at any time, and for any
duration, by pressing and holding the [FILL] key when the pattern is playing (GRID RECORDING mode
cannot be active). The FILL mode is active for as long as the key is held.
Press and hold [FILL] + [YES], and then release [FILL] before you release [YES] to latch FILL mode.
Press [FILL] again to unlatch FILL mode.
10.12.5 TRIG MUTE
The TRIG MUTE menu makes it possible to add mute masks on a per trig basis. Each track can have its
separate trig mute trigs. Open the menu by pressing [FUNC] + [BANK E].
Select the track to which you want to add trig mute trigs by pressing the corresponding [TRACK] key.
While in the TRIG MUTE menu, entered trigs will mute any trigs placed of the active track, given the trigs
are located on the same sequencer steps.
• Trig mutes can be quickly added to note trigs or lock trigs. Keep the note trig or lock
trig pressed and press [BANK E]. A trig mute trig will automatically be placed on the
same sequencer step as the note trig/lock trig.
• Press a note trig/lock trig to quickly see if a trig mute trig is placed on the same se-
quencer step as the trig. If that is the case, the [BANK E] key will light up.
• Trig mutes are good for experimenting with the feel of tracks when playing live. The
last eight steps of a bass line track could, for example, be muted to build suspense.
10.12.6 ACCENT
Adding accent trigs is useful for quickly changing the volume and filter envelope behavior, or accentua-
tion, for chosen steps of a track. Accent level is also a modulation destination, meaning it can be aected
by for example LFOs. Open the ACCENT menu by pressing [FUNC] + [BANK F].
Select the track that will be aected by pressing the corresponding [TRACK] key. Select the accent
value by turning the TRACK LEVEL knob. The higher the value, the more accentuation will be added to
accent trigs.
While the ACCENT menu is open, the sequencer will display accent trigs. Place or remove accent trigs
by pressing the [TRIG] keys. If an accent trig is placed on the same sequencer step as a note trig, the
note trig will be accentuated.
A note trig can be quickly accented. Keep the note trig pressed and press [BANK F]. An
accent trig will automatically be placed on the same sequencer step as the note trig.
Press a note trig/lock trig to quickly see if an accent trig is placed on the same sequencer
step as the trig. If that is the case, the [BANK F] key will light up.
