9. KITS AND SOUNDS
34
9.11.1 OSCILLATOR DRIFT
Will when activated introduce a very subtle pitch drift to the oscillators, which can increase their per-
ceived “warmth.”
9.11.2 F1 RESONANCE BOOST
Increases the amount of resonance from the first filter. it aects the resonance and gain of both upper
and lower frequencies.
9.11.3 VELOCITY TO VOL
Selects how MIDI velocity aects volume when playing the Sound from a MIDI keyboard.
OFF means velocity will not aect the volume of the Sound.
LOG will apply a logarithmic velocity curve. The volume dierence will be greater between softer key-
board presses than between harder.
LIN will apply a linear velocity curve. The volume dierence between keyboard presses will correspond
linearly to the force applied.
EXP will apply an exponential velocity curve. The volume dierence will be greater between harder
keyboard presses than between softer.
9.11.4 LEGATO MODE
Can be turned either o or on. When the mode is activated, envelopes will not be retrigged for overlap-
ping notes played manually on the [KEYBOARD] keys or incoming MIDI notes trigging Sounds. Note that
notes on the sequencer are not aected.
9.11.5 PORTAMENTO
Will when active make the pitch slide between notes. The settings only aect notes played manually
on the [KEYBOARD] keys or incoming MIDI notes trigging Sounds. Notes on the sequencer will not be
aected. For more information, please see “10.12.7 NOTE SLIDE” on page 48.
OFF turns portamento o. No played notes will be aected.
ON turns portamento on. All played notes will be aected.
LEGATO activates portamento for overlapping notes only. LEGATO MODE needs to be activated for
this setting to function.
9.11.6 VELOCITY MOD
Gives access to a menu where up to 5 PARAMETER page parameters can be assigned to the velocity
parameter. Both the VEL parameter of the NOTE menu and the velocity of incoming MIDI notes sent
to the Analog Four MKII from external devices will aect the assigned parameters. Open the menu by
pressing [YES]. Setting up the parameters works in the same way as setting up performance macros.
For more information, please see “9.3.1 PERFORMANCE SETUP MENU” on page 25.
9.11.7 PITCH BEND
Gives access to a menu where up to 5 PARAMETER page parameters can be assigned to the MIDI pitch
bend command. If MIDI pitch bend messages are sent to the Analog Four MKII from an external device,
these messages will aect the parameters assigned in this menu. Open the menu by pressing [YES].
Setting up the parameters works in the same way as setting up performance macros. For more informa-
tion, please see “9.3.1 PERFORMANCE SETUP MENU” on page 25.
9.11.8 MODULATION WHEEL
Gives access to a menu where up to 5 PARAMETER page parameters can be assigned to the MIDI mod
wheel command (CC #1). Open the menu by pressing [YES]. Setting up the parameters works in the
same way as setting up performance macros. For more information, please see “9.3.1 PERFORMANCE
SETUP MENU” on page 25.
