This area displays various status texts and symbols:
Display Description
Locked The HMI is locked
Unlocked The HMI is unlocked
Output ON DC output is switched on
Output OFF DC output is switched off
Remote The device is under remote control from....
Analog ....the built-in analog interface
USB & others ....the built-in USB port or a plug in interface module
Local The device has been locked by the user explicitly against remote control
Alarm: Alarm condition which has not been acknowledged or still exists.
Event:
Auserdenedeventhasoccuredwhichisnotyetacknowledged.
• Area for assigning the rotary knobs
The two rotary knobs next to the display screen can be assigned to various functions. These
are assigned as standard, and always after switching on the device, to voltage set value (left
knob) and current set value (right knob). This area shows the actual assignments. These can
be changed by tapping the area, as long as this area is not locked. The display changes to:
Standard on power up
Tapping one of the two alterna-
tives selects:
Setting voltage and current
Setting voltage and power
Other set values cannot be adjusted via the rotary knob unless the assignments are changed. However, values
can be entered directly into the areas for voltage, current or power using a ten-key pad.
After the selection the area shows the assignment as follows:
Left rotary knob: voltage
Right rotary knob: current
Left rotary knob: voltage
Right rotary knob: power
1.10.6.2 Pushbuttons
The device has 3 pushbuttons on the control panel. The “On/Off” button is used to switch the DC output on or off,
as well as to start associated functions. Certain conditions can disable this button. The rotary knobs also have a
pushbutton function which is used in all menu options for value adjustment to move the cursor by rotation as shown:
