Configure PDL
Use PDL (printer description language) pages to define default settings for jobs.
Configure PostScript settings
You can configure settings that affect PostScript jobs. These settings affect jobs for which users have not specified a
setting.
Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This
is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier,
and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are
using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27.
Some combinations of settings may not be appropriate (for example, specifying duplex printing on transparencies). If
you specify an inappropriate combination of settings, no error message appears.
1
From Configure, choose PDL > PS.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find settings mentioned in this
procedure in RIP > PS settings instead.
2
Specify settings for the options.
3
Apply or save your changes.

For information about PostScript settings, see Configuration and Setup, which is part of the user documentation set.
