Configure Bonjour
Bonjour allows for zero configuration while you set up, install, add, or remove the Fiery Server from the network.
This allows Mac OS computers to detect and connect to the Bonjour-enabled Fiery Server for printing.
Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This
is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier,
and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are
using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27.
1
From Configure, choose Network > Services > Bonjour.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find settings mentioned in this
procedure in Network > Bonjour instead.
2
Select Enable Bonjour.
3
Type the Bonjour Service Name.
4
From the Preferred Printing Protocol list, select the protocol that the Fiery Server uses when using the Bonjour
service.
The list displays only the protocols that you have enabled; the Default queue displays the print connection for the
selected protocol.
This information is read-only. If no default connection can be defined (such as for IPP), the Print queue is used.
5
Apply or save your changes.
Configure Direct Mobile Printing
Direct Mobile Printing enables direct wireless printing to the Fiery Server from supported mobile devices.
Before you begin
To use Direct Mobile Printing, supported mobile devices must be connected to the same wireless network subnet as
the Fiery Server.
If Direct Mobile Printing is running on more than one Fiery Server, you must assign different Bonjour names to each
Fiery Server. Otherwise, user authentication problems will occur.
Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This
is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier,
and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are
using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27.
The paper size specified for Default paper sizes is used for all Direct Mobile Printing jobs.
