• Authentication required - The Fiery Server supports MD5, PLAIN, and LOGIN authentication. After
negotiation with the e-mail server, the Fiery Server chooses an authentication method automatically in this
preference order: MD5, PLAIN, and LOGIN.
• User name, Password - If the mail server requires a user name/password to make a connection, you
must specify this information.

Specify the following additional information:
• Accept all SSL certificates - If the mail server requires the e-mail client to possess a certificate, select
this checkbox to accept automatically all certificates from the connected mail servers to enable
communication.
• Timeout - Specifies the maximum amount of time that elapses before the Fiery Server stops attempting to
connect to the mail server.
• Enable Remote Diagnostics - Select this option to troubleshoot e-mail printing issues.
• Administrator E-mail Address - The address from which the administrator manages the e-mail address
books.

Enable printing via e-mail
By specifying the print connection, you enable the Fiery Server to accept jobs sent to it as attachments.
Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to.
This is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or
earlier, and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure
you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27.

From Configure, choose Network > Services > Print via E-mail.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find settings mentioned in this
procedure in Job Submission > Print via email instead.

Select Enable Print via E-mail.

Specify the print connection on the Fiery Server to which e-mail jobs are sent.

To allow users to choose whether to receive an e-mail response from the Fiery Server after they submit jobs
as e-mail attachments, select Send Print Notifications.

Retrieve Help commands
You can retrieve a list of additional Help commands from the Fiery Server by sending an e-mail to the Fiery Server.

Start your e-mail application and open a new message window.

Type the e-mail address of your Fiery Server in the To: line.
