System information
System Update can notify you when updates are available. Notification is provided on the Fiery Server Control Panel
and the monitor connected to the Fiery Server (if supported).
1
From Configure, choose Server > System Update.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find settings mentiond in the procedure
in Fiery Server > System Updates instead.
2
Select Enable System Updates.
3
Specify when the Fiery Server should contact the update server.
4
If supported, choose a method for updating the Fiery Server operating software (Operating System Updates),
system software (Fiery System Updates), and utility software (Fiery Application Updates):
• Automatically download and install updates - Automatically downloads and installs updates on the
Fiery Server. Your intervention is not required unless a particular update requires the Fiery Server to reboot.
• Download updates and send notification - Automatically downloads updates to the Fiery Server. You
must then install the updates.
• Send notification when updates are available - Displays a message on the Fiery Server when new
updates are available. You must retrieve and install the updates.
Note: The above three options may not be available for the Fiery Server.
5
If you use a proxy server to connect through a firewall to the Update server, click Proxy Settings, select Enable
Proxy, and type the appropriate information in the following fields:
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, click the HTTP Proxy Settings link instead
