general settings, setting job options, configuring Administrator and Operator passwords, managing the Job Log, and
specifying JDF settings.
Set the Fiery Server name
You can specify the name of the Fiery Server and configure other general settings.
Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This
is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier,
and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are
using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27.
1
From Configure, choose Server > General.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, choose Fiery Server > Server Name instead.
2
Type a name for the Fiery Server as you want it to appear on the network.
Note: If you have more than one Fiery Server, do not assign them the same name.
Set the Fiery Server regional settings
You can specify the Fiery Server language and other regional settings, such as date format, number format,
measurement units, default paper sizes, color region, and date and time.
You can also assign a Network Time Protocol Server (NTP) on the Internet to set the date and time automatically.
Note: If you set the date or time manually and also select Set Time and Date Automatically, the Fiery Server
uses the date and time provided by the NTP server.
Configure language and regional settings
When you select a language, regional settings (except time and date) are configured automatically based on your
selection. You can also manually change any of the settings as needed.
