System information

Add users to existing groups (FS150/150Pro)
You can add existing users to an existing group, or you can create users and add them to the existing group. You can
add users to as many groups as you want.
Important: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150 Pro or later, use this procedure. If you are not
sure about which version of Configure you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27. An
alternative procedure about what to do with FS100/100Pro is available.
Creating a user, even with the required password and user name, does not assign any privileges to that user until you
add the user to a group. If you selected the Allow users to print without authentication check box, a user that is not
in a group can print but does not have any other privileges until the user is added to a group.
1
From Configure, select User Accounts.
2
Select the group to which you want to add users, click Assign Users, and choose one of the following:
Add from Contact List
Add from Global Address List
Global Address List (if LDAP is configured and enabled) contains names from your organization's corporate
database. Contact List contains users that you have already created.
3
If the name you want to add does not exist, click Create New User & Assign, type the appropriate information
in the Create User dialog box, and then click Save.
Create mailboxes for scan jobs
To create mailboxes, you add users to a group that allows the Fiery Mailbox privilege.
1
Add users to a group.
You can add users to any group, not necessarily the default Scan Users group.
2
Assign the group the Fiery Mailbox privilege.
Mailboxes are created with the same names as the user names.
Move users among groups (FS100/100Pro)
When you move users from one group to another, your changes affect the user immediately.
Important: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100 Pro or earlier, use this procedure. If you are not
sure about which version of Configure you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27. An
alternative procedure about what to do with FS150/150Pro is available.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, this exact functionality does not exist, but you can
easily add users to groups.
1
From Configure, select Users and Groups.
2
Select the group in which the user currently exists.
3
Click View Detail.
4
Select the check box to the left of the user's name.
