Alternatively, or additionally, you can edit the Hue, Brightness, and Saturation values manually.
• Hue - 0.0 to 359.9
• Brightness - 0.0 to 100.0 (inclusive)
• Saturation - 0.0 to 100.0 (inclusive)
Edit the values by dragging the sliders or typing values in the text fields. The sliders do not show absolute
values. The slider position and associated values are relative to the paper white definition in effect when you
open the dialog box. View the changes in the preview patch in the upper-left corner of the dialog box and in
the Lab values displayed on the right.

To print a test page, click Print.

If the test page looks correct, click Save and close the Paper Simulation White Point dialog box.
Preflight
You can use the Preflight feature to check a job before printing, to reduce costly printing errors. Preflight checks the
most common areas of error to ensure that a job will print successfully and to the expected quality on the selected
printer.
Preflight generates a report of errors as well as information about the job, including security settings, page size, and
color spaces.
Preflight checking can be enabled in Hot Folders and Virtual Printers as well as in Command WorkStation.
Note: Processed jobs cannot be checked with Preflight.
The following file formats are supported for Preflight: PostScript, PDF, EPS, PPML, Creo VPS, and PDF/VT.
TIFF and PCL file formats are not supported for Preflight.
Preflight can check for the following categories of errors:

Fonts - Checks for missing fonts and Courier font substitution.
•
Spot Colors - Checks for missing spot colors. You can add missing spot colors in Command WorkStation Spot
Colors.
•
Image Resolution - Checks for image resolution less than a specified value.
•
VDP Resources - Checks for missing VDP resources. You can specify the number of records to check, to
prevent a potentially long processing time.
•
Hairlines - Checks for line thickness less than a specified value.
•
Overprint - Checks for overprint.
•
PostScript - Checks for PostScript errors.
You can configure Preflight to specify which categories of errors to check and how errors are reported. Preflight
configuration settings can be saved as a preset, which allows you to quickly select a Preflight configuration for a
particular job.
