Sequential Print run interruptions
The Fiery Server takes care to maintain the print order as long as you do not interrupt the printing order. The
following actions, if applied, will cause printing disorder of the jobs:
•
Rush Print
•
Print Next
•
Process next
•
Re-order jobs processing and printing jobs in queue
•
Suspend on Mismatch
•

•

•
Cancel a job from the sequential printing group
Set up Sequential Print
You can set up Sequential Print for a new Hot Folder or virtual printer.
•
When creating a Hot Folder or virtual printer, select Sequential Print from the Job Action list.
You can send sequential jobs to the Fiery Server, which performs the sequential print run based on the options
specified in Configure.
Set Sequential Print options in Configure
You can configure the Fiery Server to maintain the job order on certain jobs sent from the network.
Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This
is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier,
and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are
using, see Which version of Configure am I using? on page 27.
This lets you keep jobs together in a sequential run, as specified by a time-out interval. The Sequential Print queue
can also be published on the network for other users to access.
In Configure, an Administrator can turn on Sequential Print, specify how long to wait between jobs in the sequential
run, and publish the Sequential Print queue on the network.
1
Click Server > Configure to open the Configure dialog box.
2
In Configure, click Printer > General.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find this setting in Job Submission >
Sequential Print.
3
Select the Enable Sequential Print check box.
