Using Update to modify submasters
The Update feature allows you to easily record changed levels on Stage
into a selected submaster. You may record all levels on Stage into the sub-
master, or you may record only changes to channels that were previously
recorded in the submaster.
Note: When you use Update to modify a submaster, the updated submas-
ter takes control of all stage levels for channels in the submaster.
Follow these steps to update a submaster:
Note: If you do not set the slider to 10,
Insight 2x
will update the submas-
ter proportionally. This means that the outputs on stage will match their
current level only when the slider is at its current position.
For example, if the slider is at 50 percent, channel 1 is on stage at 25 per-
cent and you press [Update], channel 1 is set so that when the slider
returns to 5, channel 1 returns to 25 percent. This means that when the
submaster is full, channel 1 is at 50 percent.
The console will not allow you to update a channel in a submaster to a
level higher than the level to which the submaster slider is set.
