BRIDGELINKSANDMESH

TheRootBridgewillbeselectedinoneoftwoways:theRootBridgecanbemanuallyset(recommended)duringtheconfiguration
of theRepeaterPeer table (Figure 3) or theRoot Bridgedesignation willdefault to the lowestMAC address of all the Model
Horizon’sinthenetwork.ThemanualRootBridge configurationislocatedinthe“Advanc
edSettings”section.
RedundantBackup
The ESTeem Horizon configured in Access Point mode will
automaticallyfunctionasaredundantbackupiftwoHorizonsare
installed at the same location (Figure 7).If two Horizons are
connectedtothesameswitch,oneoftheHorizonswi llbeBlocked
when the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol is comp
leted.The
networkwill continuetousethisrouteuntil anyproblemwiththe
original Model Horizon is detected and the second Horizon will
beginoperationatthatsite.
